Hi everyone! I need some advice, don’t know what to do((( I am protectet person in Canada and I am waiting for PR, I got married month ago and I want to add my husband to the application, the problem is that he overstated in Canada few years, he is an European citizen, my question is should he leave the country during all aplication proces and than come back with legal status like a visitor or better if he stays here? We don’t know what to do, :(

If he has overstayed and leaves, there's a good chance he won't be able to return as a visitor. Probably better that he stay here at this point.

I am worried that he can be deported during the process. The public policy act says that he does not have to have a legal status in Canada being sponsored by Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident but right now I am none of above yet...

Unfortunately the risk you have to take. How little has he been in Canada’s without status?
