*Urgent* Work Permit Expires!!!! Help!!!

Please Help me!!!.
This is the situation:

I submitted my CEC application ON Aug 11th,
Because My WP will expire on Aug 31st, I submitted OBWP on Aug 27th by Canada Post Express.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT CANADA POST TOLD ME IT WILL BE DELIVERY IN 2 business days.(which is 29th Aug)
But I just check online it shows will be delivery on Sep 2nd!!!!!

At that time CIC receive my WP is already expire!!!
What shall I do now.
Any suggestion???

If your OBWP applications is received by CIC after your work permit has expired, then you don't have implied status and have to stop working immediately.

If you want to be able to start working again, your employer will need to obtain an approved LMIA and then you will have to apply for a closed work permit.

Thanks , Somebody else told me CIC will check on the postmark of my application ??? Or Shall I apply online BOWP immediately???

What matters is the date your application was received by CIC - not the date it was mailed. If you don't think your application arrived on Friday - then yes, I would apply online today.

The OP is going to have a problem anyhow, as he doesn't have the AOR for his CEC application, so not eligible for BOWP.
 
yep, that is the reason i didn't apply online and wait until last minute to mail my application ...
 
Waiting makes sense - but at this point mailing doesn't. Any particular reason why you didn't apply online?

May I know why you did not process this earlier? I just want to understand why people would wait close to the expiry before they will process the renewal.
