Urgent: UHIP

Hi All,

All those who hav received admits must hav had to fac UHIP. I wish to know a few things-

1.Is it mandatory for us to fill UHIP if we hv no dependents?
2.If no then how do we cover our Health Insurance?
3.Do we have to do it before leavn for canada?
4.If yes , then from whom do we get it attested or duly signed??

UHIP is mandatory for University level international students in Ontario, regardless of dependents or no dependents. Medical services are expensive in Canada, so UHIP is absolutely worth it, trust me!

I thought UHIP was included in the tuition fee. At least it is where I am studying.

Once you pay your tuition fees, you don't need to worry about your health coverage since it's already included in the total fees. Once you're here, go to your University's international students' office or whatever department they have for it, they will give you a copy of your health insurance policy. Mind you that UHIP doesn't cover dental or eyecare...so if you have any dental issues, sort them out in your home country, and the same for eyes. Dental treatment is ridiculously expensive here!

No, you don't need to fill any forms or do any paperwork. Just pay your tuition fees, if you haven't already. When you reach Canada and go to your University, you will find out everything. Don't stress...just enjoy these last days at home before you leave for a new life in Canada!

You're welcome! I am already in Canada buddy. I live in Mississauga, I came to Canada last September, I will finish my studies in 1 month and then apply for PR and PGWP.
