URGENT ** SUPER VISA - VISA EXPIRY AND STAMP

Hi,

I sponsored my father on SUper visa.. He got multiple entry super visa.

His super visa sticker is good until Feb 17th 2017. In 2016, they left Canada and when they returned, at the Canadian airport, officer stamped the passport and wrote with hand in the stamp PG Aug (date) 2018.

Does this mean that he can leave Canada anytime before Aug 2018 and return to Canada before Aug (date) 2018?

when i called the call centre, they said the stamp with date written is to stay in Canada until that day. If he leave the country, he cannot come back after Feb 17th 2017. Is that true?

If he leaves Canada, he will require a new visa to return.

The sticker is the actual visa. The date the guard wrote in is his status in Canada. Status goes away when you leave the country (unless you have a valid multiple entry visa, basically), and since he would no longer have a valid visa, he cannot return without renewing the actual visa.

thank you for the clarification. another issue is..because he stayed over
6months in Canada, he lost his PR status in Europe.

so if he goes back to india (citizen of India), can he simply renew super visa from Canadian
embassy in India? or do we have to start a new super visa application?

any ideas..??

A Super visa can't be renewed. He needs to apply again.
