URGENT Question

Hello All,

I'm new to this forum. I have sponsored my mother under family class when I was PR and did not updated my citizenship status to CIC when I became citizen. Now I'm Canadian Citizen and my question is does Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) informs CIC about non-resident canadian citizens living abroad. I'm living in Germany for 2 years for work and CRA has deemed me non-resident canadian for tax purpose.

please let me know

CRA won't report you - but this could certainly still be a problem. You must be living in Canada to qualify to sponsor your mother. If CIC requests updated income information, they'll see you aren't living in Canada and will refused your mother's application. So you have to hope no income update is requested.

In that case you're good. Make sure your mother lands before the expiry on her visa.

Can my mother give different address for her pr card
She can give whatever address she likes as long as it is in Canada and not a PO Box. They will not send PR Card to non-Canadian addresses. I used my buddies address.
