Its been a month that i have applied for police clearance certificate at the Indian consulate in SFO. Right now i am waiting on my work visa here in USA to be approved, but if things do not as per plan then i have to step out of the country.
So would appreciate if anyone can provide feedback on the following.
1. does any one know how long SFO consulate takes to complete this PCC and return the passport.
2. Also can I go to the consulate and have them return my passport by forefieting my PCC application.
3. my passport was actually issued by SFO consultate only so does that anyway bring down the processing time on the PCC ( I read somewhere that usually PCC takes time as the consulate needs to get feedback on the passport back from the place where it was originally issued in india, whereas for applicants if the passport was issued here in USA itself then the processing time is way less than that).
