I amgoing through a difficult situation:

I applied for PR card renewal on the 8th of March 2018.

I need to leave Canada to Iran on the 23rd of April. The reason for my trip is my sister's wedding, but it is probable that this reason doesn't count as an urgent case for visa processing.

In Iran, there is no Canadian visa embassy. How should I apply for PRTD then?

Please let me know of your experiences. I'm very stressed.

Try contacting the VAC of Turkey http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Turkey/

No, you don't qualify for urgent PR card renewal.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...rants/pr-card/apply-renew-replace/urgent.html

To qualify for urgent permanent resident (PR) card processing, you must be travelling within the next three months due to:

  • a job opportunity
  • your own serious illness
  • the death of a family member
  • work related to your current job
  • the serious illness of a family member
Even if you qualify, we can’t guarantee we’ll process your application urgently or that you’ll get your PR card on time. See the current processing times for PR cards.
