I had applied for urgent processing of my PR on April 20th and plan to hopefully travel on May 15th. I landed with my family in 2006, went back home to finish med school and returned permanently in 2011, 8 months before my card expired. I've been here for the past 2 years, and for 8 other months before that during vacations, so definitely completed my requirements and could easily prove it.
Now when I checked my application status I found the following:
'We received your application for a permanent resident card on April 22, 2013.
We started processing your application on April 24, 2013.
Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on April 25, 2013. You will be notified by mail within four weeks and invited to pick up your card at the CIC office closest to you.
We returned your application to the Case Processing Centre on April 25, 2013. The Case Processing Centre will continue to process your application within the normal service standards.'
Does anyone know if this means I should be expecting my PR card in the mail next week or if it means it will require more time to process at the local office?
