Hey guys, I badly need help. Well my husband PR card has been expired and I applied Urgent Renewal coz we are Travelling to Dominican next month. To my carelessness, the photo and Receipt was missed while sending the application so they return it to me.
App Sent : Jul 09,2013
Recvd by CIC: Jul 11, 2013
Mail returned Rcvd : Jul 17 ( in my mailbox Jul 15)
Resending Apps : Jul 19,2014
They had sent me a letter saying what is missing and I should include that letter when resending the PR Card Renewal....---- My question is, it seems they are working fast, they have stamped the application that they have received it on Jul. 11, How much chances that we are going to receive the PR card within a month? It seems they had no other question coz they have stapled and arranged the submitted documents.
2nd Option.... In case we don't get the PR Card, my husband will fly out from Montreal Canada, and fly back to Burlington and travel back by car. ( I plan to pick him up) My husband has a US Visa, since we are coming from Dominican, with they asked my husband's valid PR card is US visa only since He us going to US even though He holds a Foreign Passport and a Resident of Canada.... I need advice on this, what a stress before vacation. My husband however been crossing the border with Expired PR card and nay using the landing paper, and we advised them that to be renewed on "Urgent" as we have attached the Proof of Travel

Oooooopss.. Resending Jul 19, 2013...Our flight is leaving Mtl Aug. 20, will He be even allowed to fly out Mtl with an expired PR Card?

Yes, he will be allowed to leave with an expired PR card. The question is only how he will be getting back.

It would be possible for him to apply for a PR travel document in order to return or if he has a US visa or is visa exempt to the US, he could fly there and cross the land border to Canada in a rental car with his expired PR card.

Thanks Leon. PRTD not applicable coz we will be away for a week only. However, He has a US Visa so I guess in case He won't be able to receive it we will choose that option.
- With the way the CIC processed and replied, is there anyone here able to received an " urgent" Case in a month?. Thanks.

Dude, I can not tell you what your wife applied for online because I was not there but it is possible to apply for a work permit for spouse based on her post-grad permit if her job is skilled. Because a post-grad permit is open, she would need a letter from her employer describing her job duties and position in such a way that it is clear that her position is skilled and with that letter, copy of her work permit and your marriage certificate, you can apply for a spouse permit based on her permit yourself.
