Zardoz one more thing which I could think of is this - Can they show that since they have business operation in Canada in the same name as Indian business they were in India as an "employee" of that Canadian business?

Is that possible or would that piss off the Canadian officers more that we are trying to bend the law?

Please share your input on the same

What Scylla said... Not a chance.

I would like to think that the Canadian officers would be more professional than to be "pissed off", but yes...

Thank you all for your reply.

Ok so he has a flight from L.A. to Calgary. Is it advisable that he instead flies to Vancouver and swipes his P.R. card on an Automated Border Clearance Kiosk? I guess they do have to go to a BSO after that but would using an Automated machine reduce the chances of being reported?

Please give your inputs on this

We had a guy here recently who used a machine and still got pulled out of the queue and asked for a 2nd interview. They decided at the last minute not to report him so he got lucky.

He can not use days outside Canada while employed by his own business. The immigration officer would see through that in a flash. In my opinion, he should just admit that he did not meet the RO and be apologetic about it. Explain that he started a business and is running that business in Canada with how many staff. Maybe it will get him some + points but he is not in the position to demand anything. He is at the mercy of the IO.
