Yes, you can attach both the letters in that case along with the bank statements. This should serve the purpose.

This is fine as long as it is on a letter head of the bank. You will also need the bank statements.
Good luck !

yes :) give both letters... i did the same myself. there is only 1 place for PoF so you will have to combine all the documents.

make sure you add 6 months bank statement also, give a water tight application :)

Btw when i asked about the need for the balance certificate and account opening date certificate was because i wanted to save the money needed for them if they are not neccessary since they will cost around 55 dollars but since they are important i have no choice i guess

you do not need any letter. I never attached any letter but just a copy of FD and Statement of 6 months. These are also called bank letters if they are on bank letterhead. you do not need a separate bank letter for anything.

Good one.

I have also people mentioning that it needs to stamped and signed by bank. I don't find any such requirement in CIC website. Not sure if people created that 'sign & seal' for themselves. This is the requirement mentioned in CIC website:

The letter(s) must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include the applicant’s name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and email address), the account numbers, the date each account was opened and the current balance of each account as well as the average balance for the past six months.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

I feel one should be good if the bank documents cover all the above info in some way or other.

I know someone who transferred all the funds to a new bank account just because the new bank gave the letter sealed and stamped. Not sure if that was a overkill or necessity!

The thing is their letter doesnt have the contact details of the bank, just the logo and one will mention the account no,account holder name and balance while the other is supposed to have the opening date and i will submit the bank statements which are signed and stamped so i was asking if am good to go without the letter that states the opening date or not
