urgent pls!! should i keep waiting or should i reapply under the 38 occupations?

i applied in oct 2006 with bank manager experience but with the 38 occupation lists, i did not find myself qualified to reapply but i heard the occupation would change. i have I.T. background, my first degree is computer science with oracle 8i and 10g certifications. should i apply under IT manager or are Bank managers qualified to apply under the 38 occupation list as i want to reapply before april 16 when the new occupations will take effect.i dont think they have plans for old applicants so i want todiscard that old application moreso one is not getting younger.

You can see here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list what occupations are on the list. You can not apply as an IT manager unless you have at least 1 year experience as an IT manager in the last 10 years. Maybe you can apply under Financial manager. You should keep your old application running simultaneously at least until you know if you are qualified to apply under a NOC which is on the list of 38. Old applications will be processed eventually but from some countries, the processing was taking up to 6 years so you might still have a while to do. Depends on where you applied from.

i have gne through other job titles under 0111 but did not see bank manager, should i still go ahead and apply as i saw it under classified elsewhere. i am in dire need of the visa and i dont want to miss the chance before the change the occupatin list.

You can not apply under something that is listed elsewhere. The NOC you apply under has to be on the list of 38 most wanted or you need an AEO (job offer). The job titles are not important, the job description is. If your job description fits 0111 then you can apply under 0111 or if your job description fits better under some other NOC on the list of 38, you can apply under that.
