How long have the kids been in Canada? When did they enter Canada?

Two years
Please provide full details.

They entered Canada two years ago and haven't left? Have you applied to extend their visitor status at any point?

I think the only option is to have your children leave Canada and then re-enter Canada to fix their status.

It's too late to apply for restoration if they have been in Canada for 2 years. Restoration is only possible 90 days after someone falls out of status. They have been out of status for 1.5 years.

I can't comment on PR. You should definitely get advice from an immigration lawyer to understand the impacts to your PR application. You will have to include them as dependents in your PR application.

Hi dan,

got thesame situation as you. How are you now? What did you do? Although my son is only 3 mos pass since 90day resto.
There was an extension until August 2921 but it is back to you have 90 days to restore your status. Your only option is to leave and try to reenter Canada. The longer the overstay the bigger the problem.

Were they given a 6 month stay when entering Canada or was their stay matching the expiry date of your WP? Is there a date written in their passport?

Can I do this at the border?
