URGENT, please help: Indian Tourist Visa for my Child with Canadian Passport

Hello everyone,

Me and my wife (PR, Indian Passport), and our child (17 month, will get a Candian Passport) are travelling to India on Dec 2, 2022. I made a huge mistake of not preparing well in advance and now i am rushing to get her Passport urgently (hoping to have it on Nov 2), and then I have to go to the BLS center for Visa application; teir processing time says 30 to 45 days.

I am very stressed that if i receive Passport on Nov 2 and apply for the visa on the same day..there will still be only 27 days left.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Have you applied for your child's VISA at the BLS center in Toronto, Brampton? How was your expereince, and how soon did you get the visa?

Please recoomend anything that will help us. Really appreaciate your response, TIA.

Yes, I submitted my VISA application on Nov 7 through postal application to BLS. Current status shows application in progress at the consulate.

I applied through postal on Nov 12 and dropped in Purolator office..it has reached the office on Nov 15 ..but still no records found on BLS..wen u get your visa,don't forget to post your timeline here .

Did your status change...did you check Indian website...under process-under or granted or visa printed status..
My 12th submitted postal application generated application on 16th Nov from no records...waiting for it to change to consulate...

Here's the timeline:

Nov 7 - Dropped off at Purolator
Nov 8 - Purolator delivered to BLS, Brampton
Nov 11 - Status changed to "Received by BLS"
Nov 14 - "Processing at Consulate"
Nov 19 - "In transit from Consulate to BLS, Brampton"
Nov 22 - "Ready for dispatch"
Nov 24 - Purolator deliverd to door.
