Urgent Passport Required - IRCC lost the passport

Hi ,

My fiancee has applied for TRV in the month of july till now we have not received his passport back ,
He need to travel to India on 14th Oct for our wedding our wedding date is 21st Oct , after constant follow up he received mail from IRCC in last week mentioning that they unable to locate the passport and they have also mentioned in the email that keeping your travel date in mind you may apply for new passport , Now my question is who is the responsible for this loss , will he get emergency passport ? can IRCC help us in this to get urgent passport from Indian embassy .

We are really worried , my fiancee is so depressed in foreign land passport is such important ID proof he lost just because of IRCC careless behavior .

Please help ! Please guide !

Contact Indian consulate/embassy where you are they are the only ones who can help now, they have emergency same day/next day process so it should be fine.

IRCC cannot help. He must include evidence, however, that IRCC has misplaced/lost his passport when he applies for a new one.

Contact BLS in the city where he lives. Passport reissue could take time. Do check with BLS for the current processing time.

If a new passport will take time, he can contact the Indian embassy for an emergency passport instead
