Urgent Passport After Oath Question

Hello everyone,

I received email from CIC, that I should go to oath ceremony on Aug 19th. And can't apply for passport for 3 business days. I have to leave Canada on Aug 27 for a trip.

so if i go to passport office, applying for urgent passport. I should get a passport by 24hrs ideally. I am wondering if it's possible this could go wrong. For example I was worried if ECAS possible delay. Or guarantor not answering the phone. Also what kind of question should the guarantor prepare?

Or should I reschedule the oath?

That’s more than enough time to get a passport. For example, you can apply on the 21st and get your passport back on Friday 23rd... urgent processing and pick up option.
In most cases, once ECAS says “complete”, you should be able to apply for a passport.

Thanks for answering. I can apply on 21st? that'd be great. But the email said " you must wait a minimum of 3 business days after your Citizenship Ceremony", doesn't it mean 19th + wait 3 days-> 23rd can start apply?

Just want to share my experience last week:
Citizenship application date: May 22, 2018
Test invite recieved date: June 19, 2019
Test date: July 17, 2019 (8:16am at Scarborough Office)
Oath Invite recieved date: July 17, 2019
Oath Date: July 18, 2019(1pm at Scarborough Office)
ECAS status changed to "COMPLETE": Morning(7:30am) of July 19, 2019
Application for Passport date:Morning(8:30am) of July 19, 2019 -- asked and paid for Express/urgent processing (You have to present a paid ticket for upcoming travel within less than 10 business days)
Recieved Passport -- Afternoon (3:45pm) of July 19,2019
Travelled using passport -- July 20, 2019.

They say that at the Ceremony too, but once ECAS changes to complete, you can apply.
