I have been accepted to express entry as based on my criteria today i have exactly 67 points which is the minimum needed to enter the pool.I have applied to Nova Scotia province for nomination which take your age into account at date of receival, however they are taking up to 8 months to process applications and by that stage i will lose 1 point for age and therefore only have 66 points.

Will this affect my application if my express entry has already been accepted into pool, will my age be taken into account at time of invitation with RESPECT to meeting the minumum of 67 points required to be able to apply for the visa.Is a provincial nomination application through the express entry held to these minimum requirements as it is not 1 of the programs covered by express entry. However to enter into the epress entry which is required by the province, you must have atleast 67 points. Please please advise

If your ITA is under FSW then yes it will effect because being an EE candidate you also have to be eligible for basic requirements of a particular program such as FSW..
Hope that helps..good luck :) :) :)

I assume your points are below 450 which is why you applied for a PNP.

Usually, if you lose eligibility as FSW before you get an ITA (and you don't qualify for CEC/FST), your entire Express Entry profile will be ineligible. CIC still checks for federal stream eligibility for enhanced provincial nomination apps. (source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/pnp.asp)

For the principal applicant's case, as far as I understand, the lock-in date to protect points deductions by age only happens upon issuance of the ITA, as in this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/refuse.asp It also says the lock-in date at the PT nomination application date applies only to dependents.

Any chance you can still improve your language score to get that 1 point? Or if you have a spouse, let them take the IELTS too.
