***URGENT***Issues with processing PR Card

I am sure we have to send a copy and not the original. That is the only proof that you are a permanent resident till you get your PR. It is always advisable to keep the original since it might be required while you file for citizenship as well. Call CIC and let them know that you have sent your original the pr card processing center and seek their help quickly.

I called up CIC and this is what they said,
Generally CIC do not return any documents which are sent to them.
They might send the COPR along with the PR card, it depends on the officer.
If not I have to send a letter to CIC asking them to resend the COPR back as it was mistake to send it.
I'm not sure now whether to wait for PR card or send this letter.

I dont think there is anything much which you can do now. I suggest to wait for your PR card and if you dont receive COPR along with it, then send them another letter requesting for the same.

I hope they send the COPR back.
Probably to wait for another 2 weeks and call them up to see the status.
