COPR 19-02-2016!!!
So on my hubby's COPR it states his Indian passport #. During the application process, he became a U.S. citizen and we forwarded the VISA office his updated US passport pages. He no longer has the Indian passport and only has his US passport. Can he just get this information changed when he crosses the border?

We have emailed the LA Visa office, but who know when they will email us back. We contacted CIC and they stated COPRs are usually not re-issued. Usually small errors are changed when you cross the border; however, she even agreed this is a big error.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? At this point, he will bring his US passport, copy of the main page from his Indian passport and other types of identification (Driver's licence). PLEASE help!!

Hi triple p,

I don't have an answer to your query but would like to know if you found any information regarding this as I may also be changing my citizenship while in-process so would like to know what needs to be done in case the COPR comes with old Indian passport#

Thanks

COPR 19-02-2016!!!
Well, the only thing I could state that might help is:
If you receive an email to update your photo specifications (which we did), send with it pictures of your new passport pages. We sent it all the way back in May, 2015 and something got lost in translation. They just sent out the COPR with the initial Indian passport information we gave them. You think that they would have sent a PPR request if they thought he was flying with his Indian passport information, but they did not. They just sent us the completed COPR with the Indian passport information.

If anyone else has had the incorrect passport # on their COPR, please advise us. I think my husband will just take the chance and see if they will let him cross; however, we would appreciate any advice from people in the same situation...
