Urgent - if Lawyer unable to send response on time

Hi Guys,

I opted for a law firm since i got 2 letters back to back from CIC for response. Date to response is close within 2 days... i am not sure if we can reply them back in this time. i guess lawyer will ask for extension additional time. How much is that effective. Does CIC give extra time for us to reply?

No one can tell you this. It's up to the agent's discretion if they grant additional time but if you believe you'll need that time you need to make the request before the original time lapses. Failure to do so can lead to your application being rejected. You can search the forum for answers before started new threads also.

In 2014, I had requested CIC for an extension for my paper based application and it was not granted. Got a rejection for not submitting documents on time.
