, Sudanese national currently displaced and residing in Kassala, Sudan, after being forced to flee my home due to the war that erupted in Sudan on April 15, 2023.


I am urgently seeking a private sponsor or a sponsorship group in Canada under the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program or on Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) grounds.

Why I Need Sponsorship:​

• I was arrested and severely tortured twice, first by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and later by Sudanese intelligence, solely due to my ethnic background and place of origin (Western Sudan).
• I sustained a spinal injury from beatings and have no access to adequate medical treatment.
• My name has been falsely listed on social media as "wanted", exposing me to constant threats of arrest or worse.
• I am the sole breadwinner for my parents and younger siblings, living in extreme fear and without stable support.

What I Am Looking For:​

I am appealing to anyone in Canada—individuals, families, or organizations—who can support my application for humanitarian sponsorship. I can provide:

• Medical reports and photos
• Proof of displacement
• ID and personal references
• Full story and supporting documents

I would very strongly recommend that you remove your personal contact information from your post. It is not safe to post this information here publicly.

To apply for PR under H&C, you would first need to travel to Canada as a visitor on a tourist visa. This is not a sponsorship program and you cannot apply from outside of Canada.

There are unfortunately no sponsors on this forum. If you are looking for a sponsor for your refugee application, you will need to contact Sponsorship Agreement Holders directly.

Agree with @scylla but would also add if you have family/friends in Canada they are often able to lobby on your behalf to groups who may be willing to sponsor refugees. Unfortunately obtaining sponsorship is very hard especially without connections in Canada because there is sadly a lot of instability in the world and a huge demand for resettlement from many parts of the world at the same time.
