I made a mistake in filling out visitor visa application, in the section where it says "have you been denied or refused visa in Canada or any other country " he checked no, only to realize I was refused a visitor visa for US before. It was an oversight which should be corrected.

I submitted the application 3 days before as today I took the following steps.

I have already sent a CSE addressing the issue and attached an updated IMM 5257e form.

I have also raised a request to withdrew the application.

Now I’m scared would I take a ban for 5 years for this idiotic mistake that I have committed.

@Bryanna could you please share your insight. What could potentially happen
You've already informed IRCC on your own, so you should be fine. Nothing to worry about.

For peace of mind, you could email the amended TRV application form + an explanation that this mistake was due to genuine oversight and you have informed IRCC on your own.... do send this to your local visa office (not just the CSE)
