URGENT HELP STATUS EXPIRED GOING BACK BUT POLICE WANT STAY HERE

hi I have one friend his status is expired he do not have any problem go back .but he is victim and witness of one case. he attempted last years court hearing .actually he is helping police and investigation department .now next year again they have hearing in supreme court Toronto.my friend want to help police but he do not have status .how he can stay here and whom he contact to extend his status

police department also wrote a letter for my friend for requesting to extend stay in Canada until case finalize. my friend have that letter but he do not know whom to send this letter CBSA or CIC.please help here very urgent

When did his status expire? If it is not yet over 90 days since his status expired, he can extend his stay in Canada by applying for a visitor visa($75 or $150 I think) and to restore his status($200) at the same time. For explanation, he can mention the police case where he is a witness and attach the letter written by the police.

hi senoritabella. thanks for u r reply heallpied visitor visa before. he already got rejected for visitor visa and that's why he going back .because he is witness so he must have to informed police or investigation department. but when went to informed thay said next year in may is hearing in supreme court. he has that letter so whom he have informe about this and whom he have to send this letter CBSA or CIC vergvelli . he don't want more over stay in Canada other size he will detestion order .please senior advise here he really need help.

no he got rejected before got letter .because that time he did not about his presence important for police. but now police want him to stay here until case finalized. so want to apply again with this letter and other supporting documents. where he need to send his file CBSA or CIC .

No need to contact CBSA. He should apply for a visitor visa again and also for restoration of status, provide the police letter and wait to hear from immigration about his application.

hi senoritabella thanks for your reply .I think your advise is right .he did not get any letter from CBSA or immigration after expired status .the last he got letter from immigration two months
before for status expired .now my friend told me that investigation officer ready to give anthor statement which very important document form court of Canada that will show how much they need help from my friend..now he going to apply visitor visa with court .police and investigation documents.let see what will happen in his case .
