urgent help regarding wire transfer

can anybody tell me the procedure of wire transfer . i don't have account in any bank.should i go for a obc or hdfc or icici. plz tell me which is the best bank to transfer the money and plz tell me the rates for transfer :-[ :'( ;D

If you dont have an account, maybe try making a DD from your parents' account in CAD and send it over via tracked and insured courier.

Opening an account will take a week if im not mistaken.

Or maybe even opening one with scotiabank will be worth it since you are going to canada and they might have favourable rates too. Upto you really.

1) Open a bank account (it doesn't take long, usually 2 to 3 days)
2) Place the necessary amount of money in your bank account
3) Wire the money to the institution you've applied to
4) Let the bank give you a paper which reveals exactly how much fund you have in your account, you'll need it for visa purposes.

Hi amit TD bank charges 17.50CAD for each wire transfer received at least for 10K or under ones.
