Hi Friends,

I am planning to apply for Canadian PR via express entry route. I am confused with primary occupation details that we have to input while creating express entry profile.

I am an engineer with B. Tech in electronics and communication that I have completed in May 2010 and then I started my job in IT company in September 2010 and given my situation I have following questions:

1. what should be the date in the - The Date ABCD first became qualified to practice in this occupation under Primary occupation (4 digit NOC Code). should it be the date when I received the Electronics and communication qualification i.e May 2010 or it should be the date when I started to work in software industry i.e September 2010?

2. My roles and designations in my Software company have changed over the time but my responsibilities throughout my job( for all roles and designations)are among the one listed in Software engineer profile i.e. NOC 2173 Software engineer. Is it fine if I add a single primary occupation as Software engineer with the title as Software engineer under Primary occupation (4 digit NOC Code)?

3. If the answer to the above question is yes and I can apply with software engineer as my primary occupation then will it be an issue eve if my designation kept changing?

4. What proof can I provide to prove my work experience after obtaining relevant ITA? As It will be difficult for me to obtain a letter on company's letterhead the details regarding my responsibilities from my HR.

5. what territories and provinces one should one select under application details ? do selection all territories and provinces option means you are eligible for entire Canada? - I don't want to be confined to one particular state though I am selecting 3 states i.e Ontario, BC and all territories and provinces.

Help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Help in this regard is highly appreciated.

1) if your occupation does not require licence to work, choose your graduation date.
2) As long as duties for all designations are matching with software engineer you should be good.
3) No issue as long as you you can provide duties letter for every designation.
4) Job duties letter, experience letter, joining letter, resignation letter, pay stubs, tax return, record of employment, notice of assessment, email conversation from HR in case they refuse to provide documents make affidavit for previous supervisor for time worked, salaries, duties, hours etc. you can add more
5) Select all or few does not matter, selecting Ontario and BC might give you options for their PNP. I live in SK i selected AB

Thanks Amdavadi !

Additional details about me are that I am in the same job from beginning of my career

Appreciate your help but it will be great if you can answer few more queries that I have:

6. How can I know if my occupation requires a license to work or not?

7. Do I need to provide a separate letter for all the designations or I can date wise list all my designation and share the duties for all the designation under one section?

8. I had been on UK deputation for one year from the same company. Do I need to mention it in my duties letter and do I need to attach my onsite payslips?

9. Do I need to provide all the pay slips or few payslips will do?

10. Do I need to provide the duties letter in an affidavit from all the supervisor or my current supervisor will do?

11. If I have to provide the affidavit then should it be notarized and is any specific format and requirements for affidavits?

Thanks!

6) You probably don't need one to work as a software engineer. but for example health field does in Canada.
9) few pay slips (I provided first month, middle and current)
10) If you can not get it from HR on company letter head than you need to provide (I am assuming from all supervisor since you have different job titles and little different duties)

Sorry I tried to answer whatever I could.
