Hi everyone,
I couldn't reach CIC contact number while I am outside of Canada and I have submitted several request while online web form which is no response. Since I have to take action within 30 days, seek your urgent help with the below signing issue:
I have mailed my application back on October 15, 2017. Recently received CIC letter to request wet-ink signature on the application(e-signed on the application), however I have already came back to my hometown with my baby.
Option:
1. to come back Canada just to be physically present in Canada to sign on the application
2. to let my family member mail the original application form to me to sign and mail back to Canada
3. to let my family member sign on behalf of me.
The first option might be the best but pricy and I have to leave my baby and travelling back along.
Please help answer the question, many thanks!!

The sure thing is that 3 is absolutely out of question. It has to be your own signature.

For 2, it's probably possible since you're not obliged to send the letter yourself anyway, but since CIC verifies your presence in the country and will probably know that you've been outside Canada when you signed, you may want to add a letter explaining that you signed it outside the country when it was returned and sent it to a relative/friend to take care of it. That being said, I have no idea whether being outside the country when the application is signed (even if you've been in Canada when you sent it first!) may trigger some complications down the line. Maybe some experienced members who have been on the same situation can elaborate on this.

Good luck with your application !
