What is procedure of transactions via cheque
Or Ive to aware of it

Send them wire transfer from icici bank if you can. Check will take huge time to clear. Its a predominant method imo

My understanding maybe wrong but I presume that SWIFT transfer is the only way for international fee transfer.

And why would your agent suggest something which is not a norm. Get rid of him. Most of them are good for nothing. Cheers.

Cheques that you write here will not clear abroad!

International DD's can be made but they offer even worse exchange rates than wire transfer

Ask your college for wire transfer instructions like swift code, bank name, branch address, account number.

Take them to your bank and they'll guide you further.
