I am from Hong Kong. I have to take a flight to Canada tomorrow for a vocation. However, I failed to apply for an ETA as ETA claimed that I was a Canadian, so that I am not eligible to apply for an ETA. However, I am from Hong Kong, which is required to apply for an ETA before entering Canada, and I do not hold a Canadian passport, but I do have the American VISA as I will go the US for exchange next month. I have applied for an ETA thrice, but ETA closed my applications as it claimed that I am a Canadian and I have the right to enter Canada, there is no need for me to apply for an ETA. So, I don’t know what I should do now because I am really NOT a Canadian. My parents and I were not born in Canada! What should I do now :o :o :o :o

Unfortunately you won't be able to board your flight without an approved ETA.

Is there any chance you became a permanent resident of Canada many years ago? Perhaps this was something your parents did when you were still a child?
