Yea, I had a good Google. It seems less strict for EE. At least that's how it appears. We claimed common law for tax in Canada in 2014 and claimed common law in NZ for tax in 2015. Again, if this isn't enough proof then I don't know what is!! :P

Yeah I hear you...

I guess the main problem is that Common Law seems to be the easiest way for someone to piggy back into a Canadian PR, so I suppose they need to crack down on it... but given all that we've provided I think they'll bite!

Check out people worrying but their timeline indicates they landed: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/common-law-under-express-entry-t340310.0.html

Yup... LANDED..that will be nice... if it happens!

But I guess not many people go under common law... very few replies and actual recommendations are given in this forum for common law.

Yea, but I also think that the whole common law thing with EE is slightly different. Meh... I have about as much proof as I can possibly acquire at this point. 4 residential leases for different addresses, common law tax forms, opening bank details with address (statements are all e-statements so NO ADDRESS ON THEM). Letters to the same addresses, passport scans of our 3 months of travel showing the exact same entry and exit days, joint flight tickets... This might run to 100 pages actually!
