Hello Guys.

I know they are silly questions, but I am stressed over this.

1) When uploading documents like bank statements or PCC translated to the PR application, should I remove the staples before scanning them or keep everything in its original form ? ( keeping the staples does not hide anything).

2) My bank refused to give me a customized letter as POF here in Canada. So I got a letter stamped and signed that shows my total current balance and when it was opened and I will add 6 month of bank statements.. will this be a problem ?

3)Since I moved to Canada one year ago, I took all the money with me. So the amount I have in bank as POF is only one year old ( same as the account opening date) .. will this be a problem or I should add that to LOE ?

thanks

1. No
2. No
3. No

Also, since you are in Canada for about an year, are you applying under CEC? If yes, you don't need to provide POF.

I would just add, put it in your LOE that you requested the bank letter as per IRCC requirements but they would not provide a customised bank letter, so you are including the bank statements for the last 6 months which includes the balances required.

You should also ensure you get bank letters required for the other aspects of POF, such as statement of debt or no debt, and letter stating any credit card balances.

That's the thing. My bank statements states " Total Borrowing = 0 , Total Mortgages = 0 " , but it does not have any information about credit cards.

My bank does not provide the "average balance for the past 6 months" information. So I have requested them to print and endorse my 6 statements. It did cost be extra but I only wanted to play safe with IRCC.

I did that as well, I printed the last 6 month statements that shows " Total Borrowing = 0 , Total Mortgages = 0 " + my total balance each month ... the bank did not agree to provide neither an average for six month nor to include credit card info in the letter ... that's why I am very stressed

My friend did that as well and she is a Canada PR now. Don't be too stressed :) I wish you good luck!

Dear,

You're being stressed for nothing. Its not a major concern. There is always an alternative for each aspect.

Firstly, you can show the 6 months old statements in case 6 months' average balance is missing from the Bank Letter. By doing this you can support your claim that you have maintained a considerable amount of funds for last 6 months.

Secondly, you can include your credit card(s) statements separately which is/are linked to the main POF a/c.
NOTE: Make sure you redact the credit card number(s).

Do this and you're good to go! :)
