My spouse received an ITA on 22 Feb, 2017. Proving his work experience (self-employed in two countries) is proving to be very challenging and expensive. We are thinking about declining the ITA and modifying his work experience which will affect points.

I have experience working for a MNC in India. And all my experiences are much easier to prove.
The ECA evaluation for me took ages and that is why we never considered myself as Primary Applicant. Now that I have it, I am considering entering the pool with CRS 435. I would like to be in the next draw.

Is that advisable?

Would it be considered fraud if I enter the pool while my spouse has an ITA - which we will eventually decline irrespective of me getting ITA.

The intention behind me trying for an ITA is simpler documentation, plus I don't have to prove my spouses work ex. Since its not in Canada, i am not getting any points for it. Right?

Does that affect PR application post-ITA?

Does the VO check to see if other profiles were created?

Please advice.

It is not an issue. However, please note that you cannot submit two PR applications by interchanging the primary and secondary applicant.

That is completely fine and the most efficient way of doing it.

We were in a similar situation. You can always make 2 profiles with either of you being the primary applicant.

Go ahead and accept ITA of that applicant wherein it is easier and simpler to prove with necessary documents.

The whole purpose of doing so is to migrate as a couple to Canada through the most simpler and efficient way. 8)

2 people can have EE profiles but only one can submit. Your score is 435 and you would be cutting it very close while you already have an ITA. Enter the pool with the score of 435 and if you get the ITA, go ahead with it and decline your spouses ITA. If you dont get it in the next draw, try to work with your spouses ITA. It's better to have an ITA rather than waiting. According to the trend, the scores are dropping but there is no surety on that. This is my opinion.
