There is no condition placed on your children.

You can include them in your citizenship app when you qualify.

On my kids COPR it says
Conditions:
53: are subject to the condition, as per 72.2(1) That the person you accompanied meet the condition set out in 72.1(1)

What does it mean now?

Basically, it's saying that the kids PR status follows along with the sponsored parent's PR status. The law seems to assume that the accompanying dependents are step-children of the sponsor.

However, in your situation, they are your biological children. Even if something happened to your spouse's status, nothing would happen to the PR status of your children.
