Urgent!!! Can I apply for work permit while in student implied status?

My study permit is expiring on March 31, 2017. I already applied for study permit extension on January 23, 2017, but did not get back from CIC yet. Hopefully, I will be graduating by mid-April. If I do not get my extension letter before my degree completion, can I apply for the work permit? If so, what are the ways of work permit application while on student implied status?

I have the same case as yours. My study permit extension is expired on 31 march. i am still waiting for my extended study permit. I have to apply for work permit as soon as possible. Did you get any update from CIC?

I already got my study permit extension after 50 days. Hopefully, you will get your one soon.
