hi everyone... i really need some help here.....am now applying for student visa for my PG course at windsor university from uk (am holding psw visa in uk)...and my partner (uk student visa) now is apply for TRV for accompanying me while I study there. one of our supporting letters mentions that we go for a training course in an organization which is supported by canadian government...now am confused if my partner can apply for TRV as accompanying me or going there for training course.....anyone who has any idea would help a lot...thanks in advance...
 
wt course r u pursuing is it academic or company related I mean corporate ?
 
Hi Sturd, thank you for your reply. Am going to canada for my postgraduate course at university of windsor..and my partner is going for one year management training in a institution...now he is going to apply for TRV... just dont know if its allowed to go one year training for TRV.

No - he's not allowed. If the training is longer than six months, you need a study visa.
 
thank you for your reply. So if we dont use this letter can he just apply for TRV as my common-law partner?

And it is just a training.....not for degree or certificate...
 
Hello, Please kindly advice me too.
My friend want to come to Canada from Nigeria for a Christian Training Program with one of the Charity Organizations here in Alberta. And the said program will last for about 6 months.
What type of Visa will he apply for? Student Visa or Visitor's Visa?
He is really confused and I don't know the answer to give him either.
A link to the correct application form will also be appreciated.
