Urgent advise required

hello, my visa expired on the 31/03/2020, i had prepared all my documents to apply for the extension. but due to COVID, one of my papers from my institute was delayed and by the time i had got it, it was way past the 90 days for the restoration. i had stopped studying that fall since i was not allowed to. then i tried to leave the country as stated on the website. but the borders to my country was closed and i couldnt leave till the 31/12/2020 when the borders opened an i left. now i wish to return to Canada to continue studying from Jan of 2022. i would like to know what i should do to restore my permit and visa.

so basically I will have to start from beginning, the same way I got my visa, and the permit from the port of arrival the first time.

If you want to continue studying the same program you won’t qualify for PGWP because you weren’t studying full-time without unscheduled breaks.

so I had been in ICM when this happened, and my second year of university didn't start till Jan of 2021. I had left before the semester had begun, and was doing classes remotely

yes, I haven't taken the summer since its optional. I am also currently taking classes.

What about fall 2020? You weren’t allowed to study but were in Canada so how could you study? Why have you not sorted out your study permit after such a long time? Would apply ASAP in the hopes you hear before January.

I didn't study in the fall of of 2020, since my intake was in Jan 2021, I had been emailing everyone to find about what is should do , I was received with no replies, no articles on what to do. the visa center in my country was closed so I couldn't apply or ask them. the pandemic left me incapable of doing anything.

You were in Canada before January 2021 so were you not studying then? You said you were applying for an extension.
