Urgent advice pls. Can i take oath and travel... and later apply passport from India

Hi can someone please give me urgent advice. I have my tickets booked and travelling by month end. By then if i receive oath invite can i take oath and travel. I am planning to have my friend send me the citizenship cert to me and i will then apply passport from India. Is this possible

In my case dual citizenship is not allowed for sure... i was planning to go to india and then apply for passport from India... i will ask my friend to get the certificate to india when he is coming

Yes. you can apply for passport outside Canada as well.

Yes you can travel. Apply for Canadian passport and then surrender Indian passport.

Even after acquiring the Canadian citizenship, the Indian passport can be used to travel for 3 months from the day of getting the Canadian citizenship. The grace period is only for such cases where foreign citizenship has been acquired but a foreign passport is not available to the person.

You can apply for first time. You should know that the descendants born outside gets their first passport outside, right.
