Hello everyone,

I’ve received an Invitation to Apply (ITA), and first of all, I wish everyone waiting the very best of luck.

My question is about how to demonstrate my intent to move outside of Quebec after receiving PR, while my current situation is complicated:

I live in Quebec and am not currently working. My spouse (secondary applicant) works in Quebec.

I have consulted with professionals who charge a large amount of fees to help arrange documents and demonstrate future intent to relocate.
Therefore, I prefer to handle the application myself.

My main concern is balancing the requirement to prove we intend to live outside Quebec with the reality of my spouse's current job here.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you proceed with your application to convincingly show IRCC your plans to move, while managing current ties to Quebec?

Any firsthand experience or advice on documentation, explanation letters, or steps you took would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.

The best option is to move out of Quebec during processing. You and your spouse should be already looking for jobs outside of Quebec. If you aren’t able to leave your current jobs in Quebec then applying for Quebec programs may be your only option. IRCC is much more strict than they used to be what was accepted as proof of intent to relocate may no longer be accepted. Many didn’t actually relocate so IRCC is right to scrutinize applications. Whatever professional you consulted seems to be proposing immigration fraud so do not work with them because their advice could have severe longterm consequences.
