[URG] Question on foreign work experience

I hope everyone is safe and well. I've been working as a software engineer as a regular full-time employee at a bay area startup.
Due to COVID and the recent work visa ban, I'm being moved to India but they want me to hire me as a contractor.

My time in bay area with the startup is 2 years.
The contract is for 6 months in India.
Can I use the contract time for express entry ?
