i found the validatable Schedule A finally and spent all day filling it out. Got it all done entered my name and date and clicked validate. It said “validation successful” I then followed directions on letter immigration sent me saying once validated save and go into my account and upload it. I did that and it said “Sucessful uploading file Schedule A .pdf” in green. When I returned to my documents it also said uploaded but not submitted?? What does that mean??? Should I also print it out... sign it and send it thru the IRCC web form to be in safe side?? They make this so confusing!! I still have 20 days before my deadline on the 26th so not panicking yet too much. Is this normal??

After uploading your file you have to go to the page where you electronically sign it (by entering your name) and also answer one of the security questions. Then you press the button "transmit" and your status should change to "Replacement provided" and that's how you know that your document was submitted.

If your sponsorship application is In-Process and your were requested by IRCC to upload Schedule A (IMM5669), and if you are uploading the form Online into your Online Account......physical signature is not required....the Principal applicant needs only type in their name.

1. Validate the Form before you SAVE it by clicking the “Validate” button at the top or bottom of the document.
2. Save the Form.
3. Log into your Online Account
4. Click on the "Check Status and Messages" button
5. Click on the "View Submitted Application" button
6. Browse and Upload directly the Schedule A form, in PDF format into your Online Account.

In the letter, IRCC send you, you should have the below Note;

Note: Make sure you validate this form before you save it by clicking the “validate” button at the top or bottom of the document. You can only upload the “Schedule A Online” form into your online account if you validated the document before you saved it. Do not print out this form and upload
the printed copy through your online account. This will result in an invalid submission of your Schedule A, which will cause additional delays to your application. The complete and validated Schedule A form, in PDF format, should only be saved to your computer and uploaded directly into your online account.

I followed these instructions exactly to the letter! Hopefully all is good. Hopefully I’ll get some sort of acknowledgement that it was sucessful??

If after uploading Sch A you didn’t click on the next page where you were supposed to electronically sign it and answer a security question, then you didn’t submit it. Your only confirmation would be a status “replacement provided” instead of “uploaded, not submitted” and also in some time later your status on gckey will change to “The additional documents you provided have been uploaded” instead of “we need additional documents...”.

Hi everyone. I am about to submit all my documents for outland spousal sponsorship. My documents include the Schedule A (IMM 5669) from my wife (the applicant). Am i not supposed to submit the schedule A with the rest of the applications initially?? Why are people uploading it?

This is because prior to march it was NOT required to be sent upfront and was request by ircc after application was received. Youre right in submitting with application

Thank you so much! I have a few more questions if you don't mind:

1. If I (sponsor) am being listed as a representative on the IMM5476 do I sing the last section Section D, where it says "signature of spouse or common-law partner for sponsorship application"?
2. Do i need to fill out the Schedule A for myself if i'm living in Canada as a Canadian citizen?
3. I saw on the Complete Guide that when you are submitting documents, to put the barcode pages ahead of all other documents. Is that required? I'm just worried they'll look out of place.

Thanks!

1. Yes
2. No
3. Yes. At the very beginning. Dont worry about how it looks. Presentation means nothing in this lol

in regards to IMM5476. I thought maybe the spouse only signs section D if the representative is a third party?

Have you yourself signed it, and I guess you had no trouble?
