Upfront medical after ITA

I am reading this forum and looks like everyone has done there medical after getting medical request.
My consultant adviced me to do medical after I received ITA and I did that and submitted my application.
Is there any difference doing medical upfront or when they request it?

IRCC no longer sends request for medicals anymore so there's no difference. Everyone applying for PR must complete upfront medicals before application submission. See below: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...da/express-entry/documents/medical-exams.html

You need to bring your ITA letter with you along side your passport to the eMedical facility. They will use your EE profile number as a reference when they enter the results on your medical on the system, this makes it easier for IRCC to collect the results and import it into your GCMS file.
