Upfront biometrics - is this possible?

I have my upfront medical appointment next week and I was wondering if while I am there, can I undergo the biometrics process in the VFS in advance or should I wait for the biometrics instructions letter?
I will be applying under SDS.

Not yet - I'll do so 1 week after my upfront medical is done.

Nice... But like medical you can't do biometrics upfront

That's what I thought. I guess you're required to do biometrics as part of an application package.. No biggie then, just checking my options.
