Updating EE Application with New Job Offer

I sent out today to have my college degree from the US validated and also scheduled the language test for next weekend so I can start the EE application in the next few months.

I don't have a job offer, which it sounds like will put me at a pretty big disadvantage of getting an invitation if I ever get one at all. This is correct?

So can I update the application after it is submitted with a job offer if I get one or do I have to redo the application completely?

It takes a really long time for EE to process even with an offer it sounds like, which seems pretty off putting to potential employers. So the is the idea to get a work visa to start working as soon as possible, get the offer form the employer, then fill out the EE and wait for it to process while using the work visa?

You can create and submit your profile without a job offer and later update it when you have one.

Please note, the chnaces of finding a job from outside Canada is highly unlikely, unless and until your skills are in high demand and there is shortage of such skills in Canada. Also your offer should be supported by a positive LMIA to claim points for the same. So the possible way out is to target provincial nomination.

I was looking at PNP for BC after you mentioned the provincial nomination. Looks like they too require a job offer. Can't really tell if computer programmers are in high demand in BC but doesn't seem like. Quite the shocker since being in the States programmers in huge demand everywhere.

Anyway kind of stumped on how to progress: can't get work visa, EE, or PNP without offer and the likely hood of an offer from outside the country is highly unlikely. I guess I can stay in the country as a visitor for up to 180 days until I find work right? That would require me quitting my job here though.
