The PGP super visa has been in place for over a month now.

I would like to gather people with opinions about how parents applications being processed at visa offices oversea.

Please share your timeline/outcome/approval/rejection information so we all can learn from each other.

Thanks

Hi Truongan, I'm Hannah, a Vietnamese. I'm going to apply for supper visa for my parents. Can you give me some advice? My parents are 52 years old, and only my mom's working now and she will retire in the next 2 years. I read the website how to apply for a visitor many times but i dont know where i will start. Pls help. Thanks very much.

Supervisa is a rather expensive route for parents to come to Canada. The steps are the same as applying for the visit visa, but in addition to it, you must also meet the LICO (minimum income) AND show proof of Canadian Insurance for at least a year having a coverage of a minimum of $100,000 (for each of parent). Google Supervisa insurance to get more information.

On the other hand, since the supervisa is similar to a visit visa, your parents must show adequate ties back to their home country. This is to convince the visa officer that they would return back after the visa expires.
