Dear Members,

I wanted to know whether the IELTS score of my wife can be added to my application after having submitted it.

I am the primary applicant and am ready with my documents for the application. My wife recently gave her IELTS but her result has been withheld by the British Council on account of some investigation for all test takers who took the test on that date. As a result, she still does not have a score to add to my points.

My birthday is approaching in a week's time, because of which I will loose 5 points if I fail to submit before then.

Please advice whether I should submit my application and add her IELTS score later when she has it.

Thank you

When you say submitted, are you referring to EE profile or eAPR (post-ITA)?

Yes, you can update your EE profile anytime before receiving ITA.

Unless you receive an ITA, losing points due to birthday is inevitable, irrespective of the status, submitted or not.

But if you are referring to post-ITA, which is the submission of e-APR, fret not because age is locked when you receive an ITA.

Oh sorry ! I was referring to the EE profile for initial score calculation. So it does make sense to go ahead and apply right away, so even if i get an ITA during the extreme end of my 1-year window, it still happens before my subsequent birthday. Thanks a lot for the clarity.
