Update marital status

Hi everyone,
I got the Confirmation of permanent residency through express entry in September 2023 as a single. I never travelled to Canada due to my job commitments and now I am planning to travel to Canada in March.
Meanwhile I got married in Dec 2023 to the Canadian PR boy.
My question is do I need to inform CIC about my change in status now, or can i do it at the airport during immigration?
Any information will be much appreciated.

You should advise them, but it is VERY important that you communicate (and I'd recommend including evidence/identification) that your spouse is already a PR. Important because it means they do not need to 'clear' (medicals, background, etc) your spouse as eligible to be sponsored - indeed he's not eligible because already a PR.

You can do so by webform or at the airport on arrival.
