uOttawa guys /seniors, please guide

Hello,
Can someone please tell me that will it be a bad idea if I don't get registered for any course in my first semester Meng (ece) winter 15? Because desired courses are not being offered!
Will it have any impact on my visa? Any effect on PR /PNP?

OKAY!
if u dont register for any course then u r taking the semester off.
Taking the sem off is not considered good from PR point of view as well as from UNIVERSITY.
Because max time that they give u is 2 years. so if u take a sem off then u h have to complete 30 credits in 3 sem which i can do in 4 terms.
n if u take a sem off it will affect ur PR because taking sem off and that too first sem is not a good option.
Either register for courses or defer to fall 2015.

I got admission offer for fall-15 at uottawa for meng. offer letter says usually it takes 2yrs for this course. does uottawa offer courses in summer?
