Unsure what our options are

Hello

My boyfriend and I would like to spend a year or possibly more working and living in Canada. We are both UK citizens, he is 29 and I am 39. We both work in tech so though we don't have job offers, we were hoping to find work in that industry in Vancouver.

I have looked through a lot of sites and articles but am still a bit confused as to what our options are, especially since he is under 30 and I am over 30 it seems we might have to go down different routes?

Can anyone give some advice on what the best option for us would be?

He could do IEC if he gets selected. Have you looked to see whether you qualify for economic immigration? To get a closed work permit you would've to find an employer willing to apply for an LMIA for you. If approved you can then apply for a closed work permit. Are you common law? If so then you bf could apply for on OWP based on your WP if it is in NOC 0, A or B.
