Unpaid time off

Hey, i read in a few threads that unpaid time off can't be counted towards CEC experience.
We all know that by now.
However, my employer did not mention that time in my letter of reference, as I didn't ask for it ( not mentioned in instruction
sheet or document checklist ). No he's not willing to write me a new letter.
Do you guys think it would be enough if I submit the following documents along with my application in September to proof
my experience and the time off:

- 2012 T4 and NOA ( showing earnings August - December 2012 )
- March 2013 pay stub showing the 4 days unpaid time off
- August 2013 pay stub to show my year-to-date earnings for this year
and
- a cover letter mentioning the 4 days i was off unpaid

Thanks!

Hey, I see you are on same program as I am, IEC WHP and then IEC YP.

For my CEC application I included all paystubs, all T4 and NOA-s (2011 and 2012), work contracts and reference letters from both of my employers. Four days of non paid vacation are not supposed to have some impact on your application, just make sure you have enough of paid working days. If you decide to mention that you took unpaid vacation, if I was on your place, I would provide all paystubs so VO can see that you only took that 4 days and not more.

You might be right. That would mean I submit all 24 pay stubs for 1 year along
with my application.
Should I still write a short cover letter mentioning the 4 days I took off unpaid at the beginning of my contract?

I wouldn't worry about 4 days. 4 weeks is another matter...

Is the consensus that you should definitely include all pay stubs?

I assumed, perhaps mistakenly, that as the checklist said that supporting documents "may include" payslips, that a good selection would suffice - I included my first, my latest, and four more from across the year to confirm the steady increase in my year-to-date earnings in the corner. I assumed this, along with the mandatory files - NOA, T4s, contracts, references - would be enough to dispel doubt.

I guess once I have my AOR case file, I potentially send the lot through to CPP-Ottawa. Hopefully it won't affect my AOR, but if there's a chance it might affect the overall decision then perhaps I'd better play it safe.

you are ok, no need to include all of them, just get them handy (in the very very, veeery remote case they ask for) they are going to match reference, NOA and T4 if you don't have pay stubs

Wage is hourly salary is set amount paid per month.

As long as you have 1yr + 4 days paid experience, you will be fine.

Yes, by the time I submit my application I will have a two week buffer.
Just wondering if I should point out the 4 days I was off unpaid in a cover letter and
proof with pay stubs or just don't do anything about it?

It won't do any harm... I wouldn't include all pay stubs though!

What do you think about:

-2012 T4 and NOA
-2013 March pay stub showing the 4 days off unpaid
-2013 August pay stub showing year-to-date earnings
and the 2 line cover letter pointing out the time off?
