Hello All,

I am a Unix Product/Production Support professional with overall 8 years of Experience.
I know i am pretty late but "better late then never" :)
So i have decided to give a try and see if i can get thru.

At this point of time, i am confused with what NOC category should i apply my application with?
2171 or 2173 or 2174
I am just very much confused.

It would of a big help if someone can guide me on that.

Thanks a ton!!

NOC 2281.

Thanks Nishesh!

However NOC 2281 is for system admin folks and i am not-at-all into that or networking field.
I am from a software background and providing support to the software deployed with real time clients.
My main responsibilities are monitoring jobs, troubleshooting on a unix based system.

Thanks again!

Paste your roles and duties here. Also which NOC you feel like is the best match.

Thanks zstream!

This should fall into 2171. But you have put too much ITIL and service management stuff. Your letter should match or describe words given here

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=2&val1=2171&val65=2174

currently there is 1-2% match hardly.

Thank you!!
Let me read that again (i have already read it 10 times and trying to match mine with what is written there).
I am still swinging between 2171,2281, 2173 and 2174

This is definitely not 2281.

You're the best judge Jkal. How many duties do you see fitting in 2171 ?
