University student applying for Jan. Intake Please Help!!!!!!!

Below is the profile of my sister

12th: 77%
BCA: 75%
MCA: 79
IELTS: 6.5 OVERALL(R & W-6, S-7, L- 7)
Experience- 2 years as Web Designer

Applied for post-degree one year program (Web Development Diploma) at University of Winnipeg
Bought GIC for $10,000

What do you guys think about her profile?

Are there chances she will get her application approved? She is applying for Jan. Intake but will be submitting her application next week.

Should she include SOP along with her application?

Please advise.

Hi Pretty_Girl,

Have you received your visa? It is strongly recommended to have SOP and it should be related to profile of your sister only(no copy pasting from internet). and doing diploma after MCA may cause for rejection, go for university degree instead if interested?

Unfortunately, my sister got rejection letter due to proposed studies not being reasonable in light of one or more of; qualifications, level of establishment, previous studies, employment, language abilities or future prospects or plans.


I ordered GCMS notes to get more details about her study permit rejection.

She has applied again for her study permit and submitted online application on Nov 19, 2015 with same program and other docs but also attached detailed SOP and a support letter from her university. .

I just pray she gets her visa this time. She has gone through a lot of struggle in her life and I just want her to have a better life and a fresh start now.

You are quite safe with another refusal. Problem is in the proposed course and it seems irrelevant to your Masters degree.

She has done Bachelors and Masters in Computer Applications and has worked as a Web Application Designer. She wants to get a specialization in Web Development and this program is a post degree program with internship and include 4-5 advance level plus other web dev. related courses that will be really helpful for her in future.

During her Bachelors and Masters, she did not study particularly about Web Development.

But, don't know now may be it will be another refusal due to the proposed program. It is just too much stress.

well ur point is understandable but in the eyes of VO doing a diploma after masters is not a logical progression of education. Now that being said u can do nothing about it now right u have already applied so all u can do is wait and hope for the best u may get lucky
